With the neck smaller than the base, such as soda & water bottles, milk jugs, detergent & bleach bottles
Steel/Tin Cans
including aerosol cans
Items accepted in the Paper Bin at the transfer station as well
as in the curbside pick up program are:
Newspaper & Newspaper Inserts
Magazines and Catalogs ( no telephone books)
Paper Grocery Bags
Office Paper
White and pastel colored paper and envelopes- labels, stamps, windowed envelopes o.k.
Copy, Typing, Printer and Scratch pads
Brochures and slick papers
Fax paper
Accounting Ledgers
Legal pads (remove chipboard backing)
Adding machine tape and register receipts
Business cards
Carbonless (NCR) paper
Posters
Greeting cards
Stationery and Letters
Sticky notes
Shredded paper
Opened Junk Mail
No need to remove paper clips, tape, staples, stamps, address labels, rubber bands, or metal fasteners
PLEASE do remove non-paper items such as plastic cards, soap samples, etc.
The following items are NOT accepted in the paper bin:
cereal or tissue boxes
toilet paper rolls
neon or dark colored papers
tissue paper or other bathroom trash
carbon paper
telephone books
Other items accepted by the attendant at the transfer station
for recycling include:

Flattened Corrugated Cardboard
Tires
Scrap Metal including appliances with compressors removed
Household Hazardous Waste!!!
Batteries (aaa's to automotive)
Florescent light bulbs
Paints and other wood finishes
Pesticides
Items such as paint, pesticides, and other household hazardous waste can also be brought to the recycling
center. These leftovers are made available to residents in a reuse program. So remember to check the center
the next time you need paint or chemicals for a small project. Avoid dumping such items in the trash or down the
drain where they can cause injury and contaminate drinking water sources.
